If you implement the security settings described in Setting User Permissions, an ITA Users group account will allow you to view, create, and modify properties associated with companies, issues, and contacts. You cannot change databases unless you have an account in the ITA Managers group. The Administration link is shown, but non-administrative users will see a message indicating that they cannot view that page.

To use the application, open the Application Home page in Microsoft® Internet Explorer. The URL for this page is https://servername/ita. On this page, you can view the total number of companies that have been entered into the application data store. You can also see the number of issues at each status level (active, resolved, and so on) that are associated with each company. Up to twelve companies can be displayed on a single page. If the number of companies exceeds twelve, they will be alphabetically grouped in sets of twelve per page with links at the bottom of the page to navigate between groupings.

To work with contacts and issues associated with a company, click the Contacts or Issues link that is displayed next to the company name. To work with companies, click the Manage Companies link. The following topics provide additional information about working with issues, contacts, and companies.
