User Authentication with Winlogon

If you have multiple users accessing your device, or if you want to provide different types of privileges to different users, use Winlogon to authenticate user log on sessions. The Windows Logon (Standard) component includes several security features, such as setting user authentication, local security policies, and the Local Security Authority Subsystem (LSASS).

Windows Logon controls access to the system by managing user log on sessions and authorizations. When a user logs on to the system, Winlogon loads user profiles and permissions before it starts the shell.
