Running a Targeted Build (Windows CE 5.0)
If you built a run-time image based on your OS design and want to modify files in your OS design, you can run a targeted build. This speeds the development process by removing the need to run a full build each time a change is made.
To run a targeted build, make sure you have sources and dirs files that create a complete path in the OS tree to the location of the changed files.
To run a targeted build
- After you have made changes to files in your OS design, in the Workspace window, on the FileView tab, navigate to the node containing the files that you changed.
- Select the node.
- From the context menu, configure and select a build command to run.
By default, the first time you create a workspace, the menu options Make Image After Build and Copy Files to Release Directory After Build are selected. Changes to the menu options that you can select persist on a per-workspace basis.
