CRMActivity.SetActivityParties Method

The SetActivityParties method deletes all existing parties for the specified activity and creates a set of new parties.

Syntax

[Visual Basic .NET]
Public Sub SetActivityParties(
  ByVal Caller As CUserAuth,
  ByVal ActivityId As String,
  ByVal PartiesXml As String
)

[C#]
public void SetActivityParties(
  CUserAuth  Caller,
  string  ActivityId,
  string  PartiesXml
);

[C++]
public: void SetActivityParties(
  CUserAuth*  Caller,
  String*  ActivityId,
  String*  PartiesXml
);

Parameters

Caller

Specifies the identity of the caller. To perform this action, the caller must have the prvWriteActivity privilege and access rights on the object to be modified. See CUserAuth.

ActivityId

Specifies the ID of the activity.

PartiesXml

Specifies an XML string describing the parties. This XML string is in the format

<activityparties> + activityparty1..N + </activityparties>

where the XML schema for each activity party is described by activityparty.xsd. See Remarks.

Return Value

No return value.

Remarks

Note   When using GetActivityParties to retrieve the XML string for passing it to the GetActivityParties method, you must first strip from the string any parties of type ACTIVITY_PARTY_OWNER or ACTIVITY_PARTY_REGARDING because they are read only.

If there is an error, SOAP throws an exception and the error message is reported in System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException.Detail.OuterXml.

All IDs passed to the platform are GUIDs wrapped in braces. For example: {6522D89A-A752-4455-A2B0-51494C6957C3}
