Summary web part overview

Summary web parts are located on center pages. They provide information about portal pages appearing as second-level and third-level menu items inside a center.

The name and long description assigned to each portal page appearing as a second-level menu item are displayed inside the summary web part. For third-level menu items, the short description assigned to the portal page is displayed inside the summary web part.

The content displayed in a summary web part is filtered, based on a user’s role. Users that belong to a particular role will be able to view descriptions and links for portal pages assigned to that role.
