Center page standard web parts

There are several types of web parts that can be displayed on a center page. Each of these web parts has a specific purpose. A center page can display the following web parts:

Summary   Provides a brief description of the portal pages displayed as second-level and third-level menu items inside the center, and provides navigational links to those pages. For more information about summary web parts, see Summary Web Parts.

Tasks   Displays a list of common tasks available to the user. For more information about task web parts, see Task Web Parts.

Announcements   Displays announcements relevant to the users of a center. For more information about announcement web parts, see Announcement Web Parts.

Reports   Displays reports specific to the center.

Related Information   Provides links to pages displayed inside the Business Portal, as well as external web sites. For more information about related information web parts, see Related Information Web Parts.

The content displayed by a summary web part is filtered, based on the user’s role. The content displayed by a task web part is filtered, based on the user. The content displayed by announcement and related information web parts is page-based. That means, if a user has access to the page displaying the web part, they will be able to see the content displayed in the web part.
