How to Use the BSP for the Intel PXA27x Development Platform (MainstoneII) (Windows CE 5.0)

You can use the sample board support package (BSP) provided by Microsoft® Windows® CE to quickly evaluate the new Windows CE operating system (OS) features on the Intel PXA27x Development Platform.

Hardware and Software Assumptions

  • You included support for ARMV4I microprocessors when you installed Platform Builder.

    If you did not, reinstall Platform Builder and include support for ARMV4I.

  • You are downloading a Windows CE run-time image to an Intel PXA27x Development Platform.

To track your progress in the following table, select the check box next to each step.

1. From the New Platform Wizard, select support for the ARMV4I microprocessor. Creating an OS Design
2. Review the supported hardware and software features on the development platform and familiarize yourself with limitations that can affect your run-time image on the device. Intel PXA27x Development Platform Supported Features (MainstoneII)

4. Use the default switch settings on the main board.
