Using the PlaySound Function
You can use the PlaySound function to play waveform audio sound files, as long as the sound can be stored in available device memory. The following list describes three ways to play sound with PlaySound:
- As a file name
- As a system alert, using the alias that is stored in the registry
- As a resource identifier
You can use the sndPlaySound function also to play waveform audio files. However, sndPlaySound offers a subset of the PlaySound feature set. Windows CE maintains sndPlaySound for backward compatibility.
