NM_INLINE_SOUND

This notification message is sent by the HTML viewer control to notify the application to load the sound.

Syntax

NM_INLINE_SOUND
NM_HTMLVIEW * pnmHTMLView = (NM_HTMLVIEW *)lParam;
szSRCText = pnmHTMLView->szTarget;
dwLoopCount = pnmHTMLView->dwCookie;

Parameters

pnmHTMLView
Points to an NM_HTMLVIEW structure that contains information about the NM_INLINE_SOUND notification message.
szSRCText
A null-terminated string that contains the contents of the SRC attribute of the IMG tag in the HTML text.
dwLoopCount
Specifies the loop count value for the LOOP attribute of the BGSOUND tag.

Return Values

If the application handles this message it should return a non-zero result. Passing a zero result to the HTML control will result in the default control handling to occur.

This topic is also documented in the Microsoft® Windows® CE SDK. Only the requirements table and the Return Values have changed.

When a sound is required from a file, the syntax to use is as follows for Pocket PC 2003:Smartphone 2003:

SendMessage(g_hWndCtrl, DTM_ADDTEXTW, FALSE, 
  (LPARAM)L"<bgsound src=\"file://\\windows\\default.wav\"loop=\"15\">;

When this is done, the following is received in the target field:

szTarget='file:///windows/default.wav'
