IMessageFormEx::DoAction

The DoAction method is called by Messaging to process the commands (actions) that the plug-in supports.

Syntax

HRESULT DoAction (
  FORMACTIONS actForm,
  DWORD dwValue,
  BOOL * pfProcessed
);

Parameters

  • actForm
    [in] The message form action to execute, specified by the FORMACTIONS enumeration.
  • dwValue
    [in] Not used (Ignored).
  • pfProcessed
    [out] Set to TRUE if the action was performed.

Return Values

This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY, E_UNEXPECTED, and E_FAIL, as well as the following:

  • S_OK
    Indicates success.

Remarks

When you use FORMACT_MY_TEXT_MESSAGE in actForm, there is no way to determine which message was selected unless you to save the message's text body before calling IMessageFormEx::DoAction, and then perform a comparison after the call.
