Shutdown

The reliability framework component of the Server Appliance Kit is responsible for recognizing that the system is about to shut down. It also identifies and collects any state information that must be stored in the NVRAM before the system shuts down. It then sends an appropriate I/O request to the low-level driver giving it the data to be stored.
