IVersionInfo::GetImplementationID

Clients call IVersionInfo::GetImplementationID to access a unique identifier for the component.

HRESULT GetImplementationID(
ULONGulSub,GUID* implid);

Parameters

  • ulSub
    [in] The ordinal position of the component in the tree.
  • implid
    [out] An implementation identifier for the component. The implementation identifier is unique for this component and is used only for comparing components.

Return Values

If successful, returns S_OK. If not successful, returns a standard COM error code.

Requirements

**  Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003:** Included in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
**  Windows 95/98/Me:** Unsupported.
**  Redistributable:** Requires Active Accessibility 2.0 RDK on Windows NT 4.0 SP6 and Windows 98.
**  Header:** Declared in Msaatext.h.
