NetDataContractSerializer.IsStartObject Method (XmlReader)

Determines whether the XmlReader is positioned on an object that can be deserialized using the specified reader.

Parameters

reader
Type: System.Xml.XmlReader
An XmlReader that contains the XML to read.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the reader is at the start element of the stream to read; otherwise, false.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

the reader is set to null.

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
