No Help available for this Visual Basic error

Most error messages have associated Help pages. However, your project or your code has generated an error for which no Help page exists.

To correct this error

  1. If you do not have Online Help enabled, enable it and check for possible documentation of this error. See Help Sources: Local Help and Online Help.

  2. Search the Microsoft Support Knowledge Base (KB) for possible documentation of this error.

  3. Consult the MSDN Online Library for possible documentation of this error.

  4. If you cannot find any documentation, gather information about the circumstances and contact Microsoft Product Support Services.

    One piece of information that could be useful is the error ID. This consists of the letters BC followed by a 5-digit code, for example BC30648. You can find the error ID by looking in the Output window. You can display the Output window by choosing Other Windows from the View menu, and then choosing Output. Alternatively, you can press CTRL+ALT+O. Keep these points in mind:

    • You must run the compiler to generate the error in the Output window. To do this, either press F5 or choose Start Debugging from the Debug menu.

    • Inside the Output window, for "Show output from:" choose Build.
