StrongNameHashSize Function

Gets the buffer size required for a hash, using the specified hash algorithm.

This function has been deprecated in the .NET Framework version 4. Use the ICLRStrongName::StrongNameHashSize method instead.

BOOLEAN StrongNameHashSize (
    [in]  ULONG   ulHashAlg,
    [out] DWORD   *pcbSize
);

Parameters

  • ulHashAlg
    [in] The hash algorithm used to compute the buffer size.

  • pcbSize
    [out] The returned buffer size, in bytes.

Return Value

true on successful completion; otherwise, false.

Remarks

If the StrongNameHashSize function does not complete successfully, call the StrongNameErrorInfo function to retrieve the last generated error.
