SetChars Method (Int32, Int64, Char[], Int32, Int32) (ITypedSetters Interface)

Sets the data, for a parameter or column, as the specified type. No conversions are applied. The assembly that contains this class has a friend relationship with SQLAccess.dll.  It is intended for use by SQL Server.  For other databases, use the hosting mechanism provided by that database.

ordinal

The zero-based parameter ordinal.

fieldOffset

The index within the parameter value from which to begin the read operation.

buffer

The buffer into which to write the stream of characters.

bufferOffset

The index for the buffer to begin the write operation.

length

The maximum length to copy into the buffer.
