How to: Save Files Attached to Work Items

You can save a file that has been attached to a work item to your local computer.

Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Readers group or have the View work items in this node permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To save a file that is attached to a work item

  1. From the work item that contains the attachment you want to save, click the File Attachments tab on the form.

  2. Select the file in the Name list, and then click Open.

  3. The file will open in the program with which it is associated. From that program, save the file.
