SQL Server Agent, JobSteps Object

The SQL Server Agent JobSteps performance object contains performance counters that report information about SQL Server Agent job steps. The table below lists the counters that this object contains.

The table below contains the SQLAgent:JobSteps counters.

NameDescription
Active stepsThis counter reports the number of job steps currently running.
Queued stepsThis counter reports the number of job steps that are ready for SQL Server Agent to run, but which have not yet started running.
Total step retriesThis counter reports the total number of times that Microsoft SQL Server has retried a job step since the last server restart.

Each counter in the object contains the following instances:
