How to: Customize the News Section of the Start Page
You can specify any valid RSS feed for the news section of the Start Page. For a list of available MSDN RSS feeds, see RSS Feeds on the MSDN Web site.

The options available in dialog boxes, and the names and locations of menu commands you see, might differ from what is described in Help depending on your active settings or edition. This Help page was written with General Environment Settings in mind. To change your settings, on the Tools menu, click Import and Export Settings. For more information, see Visual Studio Settings.
To customize the news section of the Start Page
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Expand Environment and then click Startup.
In Start Page news channel, enter a new RSS feed URL.
Click OK.
