Namespace:   System.Collections.Specialized
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)

public:
property Object^ default[
	int index
] {
	virtual Object^ get(int index) sealed;
	virtual void set(int index, Object^ value) sealed;
}

Parameters

index
Type: System::Int32

The zero-based index of the value to get or set.

Property Value

Type: System::Object^

The value of the item at the specified index.

Exception Condition
NotSupportedException

The property is being set and the OrderedDictionary collection is read-only.

ArgumentOutOfRangeException

index is less than zero.

-or-

index is equal to or greater than Count.

This property allows you to access a specific element in the collection by using the following syntax: myCollection[index].

The C# language uses the keyword to define the indexers instead of implementing the Item property. Visual Basic implements Item as a default property, which provides the same indexing functionality.
