DenyNTLogin Property

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The DenyNTLogin property controls access to an instance of Microsoft SQL Server for login records that identify users or groups in Microsoft Windows.

Syntax

object
.DenyNTLogin [=value]

Parts

  • object
An expression that evaluates to an object in the Applies To list
  • value

Data Type

Boolean

Modifiable

Remarks

If TRUE, any Windows authenticated connection attempt that specifies the user or group name fails authentication.

If FALSE, the Windows user or group is allowed access to the instance of SQL Server on which the login is defined. Access rights are established through login and user role memberships, and permissions explicitly granted on databases and database objects.
