TextureCaps.SupportsMipMap Property

[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

Specifies whether the device supports mipmapped textures.

Namespace:  Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.Direct3D
Assembly:  Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX (in Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public ReadOnly Property SupportsMipMap As Boolean
    Get
'Usage
Dim instance As TextureCaps
Dim value As Boolean

value = instance.SupportsMipMap
public bool SupportsMipMap { get; }
public:
property bool SupportsMipMap {
    bool get ();
}
member SupportsMipMap : bool

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the device supports mipmapped textures; otherwise, false.

Remarks

A mipmap is an ordered set of textures representing the same image; with each texture at a progressively lower resolution than the previous one. A higher-resolution image is used when a visible object is close to the viewer. As the object moves farther away (and gets smaller), lower-resolution images are used.
