Application domains, which are represented by System.AppDomain objects, help provide isolation, unloading, and security boundaries to execute managed code.
An ApplicationDomain object represents an application domain running managed Web applications in an IIS 7 worker process. The ApplicationDomain class provides access to a subset of the functionality exposed by the System.AppDomain class. For instance, System.AppDomain life-cycle events are not available for subscription through the ApplicationDomain class.
Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
