ValidateResponseUrl Class

Represents a rule that validates that a redirect occurs during the run of the Web performance test only if the redirect was expected.

Namespace:  Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.WebTesting.Rules
Assembly:  Microsoft.VisualStudio.QualityTools.WebTestFramework (in Microsoft.VisualStudio.QualityTools.WebTestFramework.dll)

public class ValidateResponseUrl : ValidationRule

The ValidateResponseUrl type exposes the following members.

Public methodValidateResponseUrlInitializes a new instance of the ValidateResponseUrl class.

Public propertyRuleDescription Obsolete. Gets the description displayed in the user interface when a rule is selected. (Inherited from ValidationRule.)
Public propertyRuleName Obsolete. When overridden in a derived class, gets the name displayed in the user interface when a rule is selected or shown in the editor. (Inherited from ValidationRule.)

Public methodEqualsDetermines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodFinalizeAllows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetHashCodeServes as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetTypeGets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodMemberwiseCloneCreates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodToStringReturns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodValidateValidate is called with the test case context and transaction context. These allow the rule to examine both the request and the response and make sure that the data matches the required values. (Overrides ValidationRule.Validate(Object, ValidationEventArgs).)

A validation rule compares the value of the WebTestRequest.ExpectedResponseUrl property with the actual response URL, after a redirect has completed. Then, the rule fails if the two URLs do not match. This validation rule is automatically added to a Web performance test that you create by using the Web performance test recorder.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
