Remarks

COM Signature

From vsshell80.idl:

HRESULT IVsAggregatableProject::SetAggregateProjectTypeGuids([in] LPCOLESTR lpstrProjTypeGuids);

Calling this method should dirty the project file. A common pattern of use is to call SetAggregateProjectTypeGuids with an updated list followed by saving the project, unloading and then reloading to recreate the project with the new aggregation in effect.

It is not necessary for the GUID of the base project itself to be persisted in the project file. The inner-most base project may also choose to strip its own GUID before persisting and implicitly adding it when retrieving the list of GUIDs.
