ControlChars Class

The ControlChars module contains constants used as control characters. These constants can be used anywhere in your code.

The ControlChars type exposes the following members.

Public methodControlCharsInitializes a new instance of the ControlChars class.

Public methodEquals(Object)Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodFinalizeAllows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetHashCodeServes as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetTypeGets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodMemberwiseCloneCreates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodToStringReturns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.)

Public fieldStatic memberBackRepresents a backspace character (vbBack).
Public fieldStatic memberCrRepresents a carriage return character (vbCr).
Public fieldStatic memberCrLfRepresents a carriage return/linefeed character combination (vbCrLf).
Public fieldStatic memberFormFeedRepresents a form feed character for print functions (vbFormFeed).
Public fieldStatic memberLfRepresents a line feed character (vbLf).
Public fieldStatic memberNewLineRepresents a new line character (vbNewLine).
Public fieldStatic memberNullCharRepresents a null character (vbNullChar).

This module supports the Visual Basic language keywords and run-time library members that provide constant control characters for printing and displaying text. For more information, see Constants and Enumerations (Visual Basic).

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
