DirListBox Class

Displays directories and paths at run time.

Namespace:  Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility.VB6
Assembly:  Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility (in Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility.dll)

public class DirListBox : ListBox

Use this control to display a hierarchical list of directories. You can create dialog boxes that, for example, enable a user to open a file from a list of files in all available directories.

Set the DirList, DirListCount, and DirListIndex properties to enable a user to access items in a list. If you also display the DriveListBox and FileListBox controls, you can write code to synchronize them with the DirListBox control and with each other.

NoteNote:

Functions and objects in the Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility.VB6 namespace are provided for use by the tools for upgrading from Visual Basic 6.0 to Visual Basic 2008. In most cases, these functions and objects duplicate functionality that you can find in other namespaces in the .NET Framework. They are necessary only when the Visual Basic 6.0 code model differs significantly from the .NET Framework implementation.
