InteractiveSurfaceDevice Class

InteractiveSurfaceDevice Class

Represents an interactive surface device.

Namespace: Microsoft.Surface.Core
Assembly: Microsoft.Surface.Core (in Microsoft.Surface.Core)

'Usage

public class InteractiveSurfaceDevice
public class InteractiveSurfaceDevice
public class InteractiveSurfaceDevice

This class is used to access the hardware parameters of an interactive surface device, such as a touch-enabled display screen that is connected to a Windows 7 computer, or the screen on a device made for Surface. An instance of this class is returned by the PrimarySurfaceDevice property. Surface applications that have to determine the size of an interactive surface device should always use the InteractiveSurfaceDevice object to get bounds, rather than using hard-coded values.

Most of the SDK samples that are based on the core layer include code that uses the PrimarySurfaceDevice to determine interactive surface device bounds. For information about how to open the samples, see Sample Applications.
