BackupRestoreBase.Checksum Property

Gets or sets a Boolean property value that determines whether a checksum value is calculated during backup or restore operations.

Namespace: Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo (in microsoft.sqlserver.smo.dll)

public bool Checksum { get; set; }
/** @property */
public boolean get_Checksum ()

/** @property */
public void set_Checksum (boolean value)

public function get Checksum () : boolean

public function set Checksum (value : boolean)

Property Value

A Boolean value that specifies whether the checksum value is calculated. If True, the checksum value is calculated. If False (default), the checksum value is not calculated.

You can use the Checksum property to compute the checksum value during backup and restore operations. This helps to increase the reliability of backup media.

If the Checksum property is set to False, the ContinueAfterError property will be ignored.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
