SPWebApplication.PresenceEnabled property

Gets or sets a value that determines whether presence information will be exposed in the Web application.

Namespace:  Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration
Assembly:  Microsoft.SharePoint (in Microsoft.SharePoint.dll)

public bool PresenceEnabled { get; set; }

Property value

Type: System.Boolean
true if presence information will be exposed; otherwise, false. The default value is true.

An example of presence information is instance messaging.
