Gets the collection of containers to which this object is a member.

Namespace: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi
Assembly: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi (in microsoft.office.interop.uccapi.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
ReadOnly Property Containers As IUccCollection
IUccCollection Containers { get; }
property IUccCollection^ Containers {
    IUccCollection^ get ();
}
/** @property */
IUccCollection get_Containers ()
function get Containers () : IUccCollection

Property Value

A value of the IUccCollection** (IUccCollection, for a .NET application) type. Each element of the collection is an IUccContainer instance.

Remarks

A container member is defined by its scope and and Uri. For example, a container member can have the scope of UCC_CONTAINER_MEMBERSHIP_SCOPE.UCCCMS_USER and a Uri of "jaya@contoso.com". In this case, the member has been defined as a single user. The defined user may be placed in multiple containers. Each container this user is a member of is represented in the Containers property.

Win32 COM/C++ Syntax

HRESULT get_Containers
(
   IUccCollection** ppContainerCollection
);

Note

In a Win32 application, the return value of a method or property is always an HRESULT value indicating the status of the call to the interface member. Any result of the operation is returned as a parameter marked with the [out, retval] attribute. In contrast, in a .NET application the HRESULT value indicating an error condition is returned as a COM exception and the [out, retval] parameter becomes the return value. For the UCC API-defined HRESULT values, see Trace and Handle Errors in Unified Communications Client API.

Example

The following example is a public property of an application class that wraps the IUccContainerMember interface. The property returns the collection of IUccContainer instances to which the member belongs.

public IUccCollection Containers
{
   get
   {
      return this.cm.Containers;
   }
}

Thread Safety

All public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
