Namespace: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi
Assembly: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi (in microsoft.office.interop.uccapi.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Function CreateConferenceManagerSession ( _
    pUri As UccUri _
) As UccConferenceManagerSession
UccConferenceManagerSession CreateConferenceManagerSession (
    UccUri pUri
)
UccConferenceManagerSession^ CreateConferenceManagerSession (
    UccUri^ pUri
)
UccConferenceManagerSession CreateConferenceManagerSession (
    UccUri pUri
)
function CreateConferenceManagerSession (
    pUri : UccUri
) : UccConferenceManagerSession

Parameters

  • pUri
    A value of the UccUri* (UccUri, for a .NET application) type. This specifies the URI of the focus factory. An application can obtain this URI by subscribing to the serverConfiguration category instance and getting the IUccServerConfigurationCategory::FocsFactory property value.

Return Value

A value of the IUccConferenceManagerSession** (IUccConferenceManagerSession, for a .NET application) type. This returned IUccConferenceManagerSession instance is used to schedule a conference and manage this and other conference schedules.

Remarks

A conference manager session is used for scheduling a conference and managing the schedules. A focus factory is a server-provided service for creating a conference focus used to identify a conference. A participant joining a conference is required to provide a conference URI. That URI refers to the URI of the focus.

Win32 COM/C++ Syntax

HRESULT CreateConferenceManagerSession
(
   IUccUri* pUri,
   IUccConferenceManagerSession** ppConfMgrSession
);

Note

In a Win32 application, the return value of a method or property is always an HRESULT value indicating the status of the call to the interface member. Any result of the operation is returned as a parameter marked with the [out, retval] attribute. In contrast, in a .NET application the HRESULT value indicating an error condition is returned as a COM exception and the [out, retval] parameter becomes the return value. For the UCC API-defined HRESULT values, see Trace and Handle Errors in Unified Communications Client API.

Thread Safety

All public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
