TextInputPanel.TextInserted Event

Namespace: Microsoft.Ink.TextInput
Assembly: Microsoft.Ink (in

Public Event TextInserted As EventHandler(Of TextInsertionEventArgs)
Dim instance As TextInputPanel
Dim handler As EventHandler(Of TextInsertionEventArgs)

AddHandler instance.TextInserted, handler

/** @event */
public void add_TextInserted (EventHandler<TextInsertionEventArgs> value)

/** @event */
public void remove_TextInserted (EventHandler<TextInsertionEventArgs> value)

In JScript, you can handle the events defined by a class, but you cannot define your own.
Not applicable.

The following two examples show how to use TextInserted.

The first example attaches an TextInserted event handler, tip_TextInserted, to the TextInputPanel object, tip.

AddHandler tip.TextInserted, AddressOf tip_TextInserted

The second example defines an event handler for the TextInserted event where a string value is used to set the TextBox.TextTextBox.Text property of a TextBoxTextBox, outputTextBox.

Sub tip_TextInserted(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As TextInsertionEventArgs)
    outputTextBox.Text += "Inserted Text: " + Environment.NewLine
    Dim inkArray As Microsoft.Ink.Ink() = e.GetInk()
    Dim ink As Microsoft.Ink.Ink
    For Each ink In inkArray
        outputTextBox.Text += ink.Strokes.ToString()
    Next ink
    outputTextBox.Text += Environment.NewLine
End Sub
