AuthenticationContextClasses Class
Defines URI constants for the SAML 2.0 Authentication Context Classes defined in the Authentication Context specification, [SAMLAuthnCxt].
Namespace: Microsoft.IdentityModel.Tokens.Saml2.Saml2Constants
Assembly: Microsoft.IdentityModel (in Microsoft.IdentityModel.dll)
These URIs can be used as the value of the AuthnContextClassRef element inside of a AuthnContext element. This element is represented by the ClassReference property. Each URI identifies the context class that provides additional information in an authentication assertion as defined in [SAMLAuthnCxt]. The name of each field refers to the friendly name of the context class represented by the URI defined by the field. For example, the AuthenticatedTelephony field defines a Uri that represents “urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:ac:classes:AuthenticatedTelephony”, the InternetProtocol field defines a Uri that represents “urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:ac:classes:InternetProtocol”, and so on. For more information, consult [SAMLAuthnCxt] and [Saml2Core, 2.7.2.2].
For more information about the constants defined in this class, see the SAML V2.0 Core specification and the SAML V2.0 Authentication Context specification. You can find links to these specifications and other WS-* specifications relevant to WIF in the Windows Identity Foundation SDK topic.
