Gets a value that indicates whether Agentless Exception Monitoring (AEM) is enabled for the management server.

Returns a Boolean value that is true if AEM is enabled for the server and false otherwise.

Remarks

The AEM service provides agentless monitoring of application exceptions on clients.

Agentless management of computers is used when installing the Operations Manager 2007 agent on the computers is either undesirable or impossible. Agentless-managed computers are managed as if there is an agent installed on them. Not all management packs work in agentless mode.

An agentless-managed computer is a computer that is managed by the local agent running on a System Center Operations Manager management server. An agentless-managed computer places greater resource requirements on the management server than an agent-managed computer. Therefore, an agent-managed computer configured as a proxy is recommended for managing agentless-managed computers.
