XMVectorMax function (directxmath.h)

Makes a per-component comparison between two vectors, and returns a vector containing the largest components.

Syntax

XMVECTOR XM_CALLCONV XMVectorMax(
  [in] FXMVECTOR V1,
  [in] FXMVECTOR V2
) noexcept;

Parameters

[in] V1

First vector to compare.

[in] V2

Second vector to compare.

Return value

Returns a vector containing the largest components between the two vectors.

Remarks

The following pseudocode demonstrates the operation of the function:

XMVECTOR Result;

Result.x = (V1.x > V2.x) ? V1.x : V2.x;
Result.y = (V1.y > V2.y) ? V1.y : V2.y;
Result.z = (V1.z > V2.z) ? V1.z : V2.z;
Result.w = (V1.w > V2.w) ? V1.w : V2.w;

return Result;
