Convert.ToSingle Method (Boolean)

Converts the specified Boolean value to the equivalent single-precision floating-point number.

	bool value


Type: System.Boolean
The Boolean value to convert.

Return Value

Type: System.Single
The number 1 if value is true; otherwise, 0.

The following example converts the Boolean values true and false to Single values.

bool[] flags = { true, false };
float result;

foreach (bool flag in flags)
   result = Convert.ToSingle(flag);
   Console.WriteLine("Converted {0} to {1}.", flag, result);
// The example displays the following output:
//       Converted True to 1.
//       Converted False to 0.
