UnattendedJoin (Standard 8 Module Reference)

7/8/2014

Review the settings, dependencies and any notes for the UnattendedJoin section of the Embedded Core module in the Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) module catalog.

These settings enable a computer to join a domain during the Specialized configuration pass. By joining a computer to a domain, you can apply policies to the computer and access additional resources on the domain. If this component is not included, you cannot join a computer to a domain during the Specialize configuration pass.

For information about configuration passes, see Image Builder Configuration Passes.

Settings

This module includes the following settings.

Notes

Credentials contains settings that specify the domain, the user name, and the password used to join a domain during Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) Setup. You must set a value in either Domain or Username, but you cannot set a value in both.

Note

Use either AccountData settings or Credentials settings to join an account to the domain. If values are entered for both Provisioning and Credentials settings, Provisioning will be used to join the account to the domain.
