Templates are available in Image Builder Wizard (IBW). You can create a customized, embedded device to support various scenarios. A quick way to do this is to select a template that supports the desired scenario, and then add or remove the functionality needed for your device.

- Digital Signage Template
This template provides starting point to create digital signs that allow you to connect with customers through engaging multimedia experiences. OEMs and ISVs can optimize their media player device for a particular application or end user to have more control over the final device image and functionality
- Retail Template
This template enables you to quickly create Point of Service (POS) devices for retail businesses to use when processing transactions. It provides an immersive user experience and provides the most common requirements for POS and retail devices, including OS features and support for third-party applications that require Windows APIs, the .NET Framework, SQL Express 2012, and anti-virus software. It also enables system administrators to connect to and remotely manage the device.
- Thin Client Template
This template includes the most common features required for thin client devices and is a starting point to create a customized template to meet the needs of your device.
