(BRA) Set up address formats

You can specify the Banco Central do Brazil (BACEN) code that is used to identify a country or region, and the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatistica (IBGE) code that is used to identify a city. The BACEN and IBGE codes are used in the Nota fiscal electrônica (NF-e). The IBGE code is a national code that the IBGE uses to identify the city in which a legal entity and its vendors and customers are located. The BACEN and IBGE codes are included on the fiscal reports.

  1. Click Organization administration > Setup > Addresses > Address setup.

  2. In the left pane, click Country/region.

  3. In the Country/region area, select or create a country or region. For more information, see Key tasks: Set up address formats.

  4. In the BACEN code field, specify the BACEN code for the selected country or region. You can enter a numeric BACEN code or leave the field blank.

  5. In the left pane, click City.

  6. In the City area, in the Country/region filter, select the country code for Brazil.

  7. Select or create a city, and then in the IBGE code field, specify the IBGE code for the city. You can enter a numeric IBGE code or leave the field blank.
