(IND) Set up schedule column header and footer notes

  1. Click General ledger > Setup > Financial statement (traditional) > Financial statement (traditional).

  2. Click the Overview tab in the upper pane and press CTRL+N to create a new record.

  3. Click the Overview tab in the lower pane and press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  4. Enter the name of the column in the Name field.

  5. Select Schedule in the Column type field.

  6. Click Notes to open the Notes form.

    Note

    You must select Schedule in the Column type field to activate Notes.

  7. Click the Overview tab in the Notes form and press CTRL+N to create a new financial statement report.

  8. Enter a numeric order in the Identification field to specify the sequential order that the text appears in the financial statement report.

  9. Select the type of note in the Note field from one of the following options:

    • Header note – Print the text entered in the Form note field on the Text tab as a header in the report.

    • Footer note – Print the text entered in the Form note field on the Text tab as a footer in the report.

  10. Select the alignment of the text in the Text alignment field. If you select None, the text is aligned to the left by default.

  11. View the automatic rearrangement of the order of the notes in ascending order according to the type of note.

  12. Click the Text tab.

  13. Enter the text for the note in the Form note field.

    Note

    You can create a new line in the same note when you press Enter. You must insert two line spaces between two header or footer notes.

  14. Click the Special report tab.

  15. Select how the text should appear in the note in the financial statement.

  16. Repeat steps 7 to 16 to define and format additional header or footer notes in the financial statement.

  17. Press CTRL+S or close the Notes form.
