A setup page is a particular type of card or details page for managing set up and administration of the system.

Setup page guidelines

From the user’s perspective, the following are qualities of a well-designed setup page:

  • Has a page title that clearly identifies the scope of the setup information and options presented in the page.

  • Is optimized for overview by organizing data in FastTabs and marking relevant fields as Promoted or Additional.

  • Favors important fields by placing them in a General FastTab that comes first on the page.

  • Does not include FactBoxes but presents all its information in the page’s content area.
