How to: Review Errors for Background Posting

Errors for background posting are easy to determine. Microsoft Dynamics NAV provides several options for you to access this information.

To view an error from a sales or purchase document

  1. Open the document that you have tried to post using background posting.

  2. On the General FastTab, choose Show more fields to expand the list of fields shown.

  3. In the Job Queue Status field, review the status information. Choose the field. The error message is displayed. Review the error message and fix the problem.

To view an error from a sales or purchase list

  1. Open the relevant list. For example, in the Search box, enter Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the entry that you are reviewing, and choose the Job Queue Status field. The error message is displayed. Review the error message and fix the problem.

To view an error from the My Job Queue part

  1. Add the My Job Queue part to your role center. For more information, see How to: Use My Job Queue Part.

  2. If an entry has the status Error, choose Show Error. The error message is displayed.
