Zoom in or out on a timeline

You can zoom in on the timeline to see more gradations between the second marks, or zoom out to see a larger time period.

Note

Zooming in does not necessarily let you set keyframes at all the gradations that you can see between the keyframes. To be able to set keyframes at more points on the timeline, increase the snap resolution, or turn off timeline snapping.

For more information, see Change the snap resolution and Turn timeline snapping on or off.

To zoom in or out on a timeline

  1. In the Objects and Timeline panel, click Open a Storyboard d4531c86-5048-481c-a1ca-29af202d28e7, and then select a storyboard.

  2. In the Timeline zoom text box at the bottom of the timeline, use one of the following methods:

    • Click in the Timeline zoom text box, type a value, and then press ENTER. For example, type a value of 50 to zoom out to show you twice as much of the timeline.

    • Move your pointer over the Timeline zoom text box until you see the numeric adjustment pointer 99713193-615f-4ee2-a668-522b5572f389, and then drag your pointer to scroll through the zoom values. Drag left or down to zoom out on the timeline, and drag right or up to zoom in.

    • Click in the Timeline zoom text box, and use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys to adjust the zoom value.
