NsRemoveLockMnRemove rule (wdm)

The NsRemoveLockMnRemove rule specifies that a driver does not return STATUS_NOT_SUPPORTED when the driver is processing IRP_MJ_PNP request with minor function IRP_MN_REMOVE_DEVICE. This rule only applies to FDO and FIDO drivers.

How to test

At compile time

Run Static Driver Verifier and specify the NsRemoveLockMnRemove rule.

Use the following steps to run an analysis of your code:
  1. Prepare your code (use role type declarations).
  2. Run Static Driver Verifier.
  3. View and analyze the results.
