How to: Calculate Claim Deferred Excise Tax Amounts

You can use claim deferred excise reports to identify the amount of excise tax to be claimed on capital goods.

Note

You can claim 50 percent of the excise tax amount on capital goods for the current financial year, and the remaining 50 percent for the next financial year.

To calculate the claim deferred excise tax amount

  1. In the Search box, enter Claim Deferred Excise, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Options FastTab, fill in the fields as described in the following table.

    Field Description

    Document No.

    The document number.

    Posting Date

    The posting date for the document.

    Location E.C.C. No.

    The excise control code for the location.

  3. Choose OK.

    You can view the deferred excise tax amount that can be claimed in the RG 23 C Part I report. For more information, see How to: Print RG 23 A and RG 23 C Reports.
