How to: Map an Excise Product Posting Group to an Item
You can map an excise product posting group to an item.
The following procedure describes how to map an excise product posting group to an item, but the same steps also apply to mapping an excise product posting group to a fixed asset.
To map an excise product posting group to an item
In the Search box, enter Items, and then choose the related link.
Select the item to which you want to map an excise product posting group, and on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.
On the Invoicing FastTab, in the Excise Prod. Posting Group field, select the excise product posting group.
On the Tax Information FastTab, in the Excise section, fill in the required fields as described in the following table.
Field Description Excise Accounting Type
The excise accounting type of the item.
Assessable Value
The assessable value of the item on which the excise tax is calculated.
Choose the OK button.
