Require Pick Field, Location Table

Specifies whether you must perform pick activities in the warehouse at this location.

Additional Information

If the Require Pick field is individually selected, then it represents a simple warehouse setup where warehouse activities are typically posted and registered with the Inventory Pick or Inventory Movement windows.

Note

When you pick components for internal operations such as production with the Inventory Pick window, the components are posted as consumption for the production order as soon as you register the inventory pick. This does not occur when you register components that you have moved (picked) with the Inventory Movement window. For more information, see How to: Move Components to an Operation Area in Basic Warehousing.

Note

You must select the Require Pick field before you can perform inventory movements that are based on source documents. However, if you perform inventory movements without source documents with the Internal Movement window, then you do not have to select the Require Pick field. For more information, see How to: Move Items Ad Hoc in Basic Warehousing.

Tip

For more information on how to work with fields and columns, see Work with Data. For assistance in finding specific pages, see Search.
