Deploying a Runtime-Analysis Package to Your Test Environment

Deploy your runtime-analysis package to computers in your test environment that are running the operating system that you want to deploy. To deploy the runtime-analysis package, you can use one of the same methods that are used for deploying an inventory-collector package. Choose one of the following methods:

  • Group Policy Software Installation

  • Logon script

  • System Center Configuration Manager

  • Manual distribution from a network share

  • Manual distribution by using removable media

Your testers can then use the tools in the runtime-analysis package to evaluate the compatibility of your applications on the operating system that you want to deploy. The tools monitor applications and enable your testers to submit compatibility feedback and report issues. The compatibility feedback and issues submitted by your testers are recorded in your ACT database.
