Marks the beginning of a new span.

Parameters

  • category
    Type: System.Int32

    The category of the span. Any integer is valid.

  • format
    Type: System.String

    A composite format string that contains text intermixed with zero or more format items, which correspond to objects in the args array

  • args
    Type: array<System.Object[]

    An object array containing zero or more objects to format.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.ConcurrencyVisualizer.Instrumentation.Span
Returns Span.
